Kristen Elizabeth Harrell, 38, passed away on Saturday August 14, 2021.
Kristen was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Kristen enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Anyone who had the opportunity to know her and spend time with her, loved her. She was the life of the party. Maj. Gen. Elizabeth Ann Harrell is Director of Maintenance and Logistics, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. She is responsible for policy, budget and oversight of the command's maintenance, supply, contracting, transportation and munitions activities. She was married for almost 60 years to Joe Edd Harrell, who passed away in 2012. She told stories of them playing in the creek with the snakes and black bears peeping in the windows. She is survived by : her siblings, Royal Blair Harrell (Foy Jane Harrell), Willie Coleman Harrell III, Knightdale of North Carolina, Kelly Yvonne Harrell and Benjamin Andrew Harrell; her nieces, Courteney Blair Harrell and Hayley Nicole Schiebel (Francesco Peri) of Boston Massachusetts; and her nephew Willie Coleman Harrell IV (Adrienne Harrell). Betty was born January 11, 1936. She participated in the Peachtree Road Race for 10 years and various other races. My sister and I a few years later, on a tour of California with Roberta, had the privilege of staying over a few nights in Libbys home, welcomed with great kindness and a beautiful smile, Libby told us of her adventures and showed great interest in our families and children, we spent many an hour happily chatting away. I had the great pleasure of visiting the Pankey home in Tustin during various events when Libby opened up her home for multiple "Tustin" affairs over the years. Bunch was born on November 17, 1933 in Bertie County and was the daughter of the late Richardson Pierce Harrell and Myrtle Miller Harrell.
